Courage Clubs
Courage Clubs are how Courage Youth connect.
It is a place to belong!
The Courage Club in each school is led by Life Coaches that look out for you and help you learn how to be all that you can be. They help celebrate your highs and walk with you through your lows. The clubs meet during lunch, free periods and after school. There is time for learning how to be a better person, time for fun and games, and time to encourage and help each other.

In Courage Clubs we express our hopes and joys and work together on things we are passionate about. We learn leadership skills and relationship skills.

Most of all it is a place for us to come together to form a movement of youth that will change the destiny of South Africa. It is a forum for speaking to and doing the things that need to change.
We even create things like our own “war cry!”
Courage Classes
Courage Youth Life Coaches that are assigned to
each school often support the school’s teachers by
equipping learners through CYM’s character based
life skills curriculum.
Courage Youth uses a great curriculum called Life at the CrossRoads. Learners are challenged beyond basic knowledge as they work in groups, in pairs and as a class to analyze concepts, explore their feelings, dream about the future and create a plan to make healthy decisions that are consistent with being a person of good character.

They emphasize six “pillars” of good character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship.
The CrossRoads program is organized in five segments:
1. Relationships
2. The Character Connection
3. Sex in Perspective
4. Life Skills
5. Navigating Your Future
Courage Camps
Courage Camps are always an exciting year-end event for CYM members. It’s a good time to deepen relationships, share accomplishments and develop leadership skills. A highlight for the year!
The annual end-of-year Summer Camp signifies the success learners feel they have achieved by being active Courage Youth participants. They have been positive contributors to activities, tasks and club events through-out the year! What an awesome feeling they always express… realising that through the participation and belonging each has contributed to the Courage Club they have earned the final ticket to Camp!
One recent camp focused on an array of teachings, devotions, team activities and workshop sessions to the reinforce the importance of avoiding risky behaviours associated with early and reckless sexual relations, the risks of other many sexually transmitted infections, plus the undesirable consequence of teen pregnancies.
Camps always includes a wide range of challenging sport activities. To crown it all, the highlight of the Camp is the Talent Show and the Beauty Pageant in which learners enthusiastically show off their talents and abilities!
A Mother’s Story
It is always a delight when you send your child to an organization that empowers your child to develop. When she came back from the camp she was overwhelmed with the knowledge she gained from the SAHAC Courage Youth CAMP.
Courage Careers
A bright future depends on achieving a successful career. CYM equips you through career counselling, job readiness training, identifying employment opportunities, and entrepreneurship skills. It helps you create a post-Matric plan for your life.
CY Careers provides group and individual training and support to learners so they can qualify for and get employment. One of the important opportunities is attending the Job Readiness Workshop.
